Pangarang Lookout

Melanie and Mom were spending the weekend in Marryborough, so Dad took the other kids on an evening hike to a place called Pangarang Lookout in the Warby Ranges.  The Warby Ranges are between Yarrawonga and Wangaratta where the church is.  About 45 minutes from our place through the back roads.

I know you are supposed to tell kids not to stand in the middle of the road, but I can forgive Will for this one because its so dang cute.

The wheat was beginning to ripen and the green was fading. The kids did a bit of exploring in some wheat fields before going on the hike.

Spencer was sporting some cool work gloves, why you ask, well...because they're cool.

I love this photo of little Maeby Lyn climbing the hill.

Liam making his way up the hill.

Looking to the South West from Pangarang Lookout (kind of towards Melbourne)  What a lovely country.  Farmland and bush as far as the eye can see.

Spencer proudly at the top, in his cool work gloves.

The kids were picking all the prickly spinnefex grass out of their socks and shoes.

Maeby Lyn hitching a ride with her scruffy dad to avoid the prickleys until they got out of the grass.

They stopped in a tiny town called Thoona and had dinner at the pub with some of Wills work mates.

Spencer was having a great time, don't believe me?  Well, see for  yourself!
