Father's Day Number 2

Well apparently Aussie's celebrate Father's Day on a different day than Americans. Since we didn't know that at first, we just thought that Father's Day wasn't very big in Australia, Will got to have two Father's Days. We were a bit surprised when Father's Day ad's started showing up on TV and in the papers etc. so we decided to take this opportunity to surprise Dad. It turned out better than Father's Day Number 1 for sure. But that's easy, just keep Willy away from the 4 wheel drive and anything is bound to go better. Liam also made Dad this hat and a toilet paper roll necklace that said "Dad".

While Will was at an Elders Quorum service project cutting firewood out in the mountains, the kids got to work decorating the house and wrapping presents. Their school had a Father's Day store that the kids could buy things at an affordable price. They all took $5 to school and came back with lots of fun things for Dad.
Melanie got Dad a jar of candy and a rubix cube.

Spencer got dad a small jar with candy, bookmark and a cool Australian tin to save his money.

Liam got Dad a clock for his desk and made him a weather predictor at scouts.

Liam wrote a Father's Day song and sang it to Dad. It was a very catchy tune and turned out really cute...for his first song. I took a video and afterwards Liam watched it and said, "Wow, I suck!".
Maeby got Dad a bike helmet to go with his new bike. Now we can all go out for bike rides.

We went out for a family bike ride and Melanie came out of the house in Spencer's school jumper laughing. They all have the same jumpers and she thought it was hers.

We stopped for a rest and a play at one of the Lakeside parks.

Maeby and I swinging and holding hands.

Liam making a stick house.

Spencer got some good practice riding on the dirt, almost ready to loose the training wheels.
