Weekend Trip to Melbourne

This is the house we hired (rented) for the weekend while we explored the town in Melbourne. It was an area called Williamstown down on the bay south of the city. We loved it.

 The beach was a bit cold, but that didn't bother the boys. They took their shoe's off to get wet anyways.

.Here are some photos of the country not far from Yarrawonga, the yellow flowers are canola, or rape seed. Lots of fields covered with bright yellow flowers and an ever present buzzing sound from the buzzzillions of beez.

Here is one on the way down to Melbourne that was so eye catching that we had to stop. When the sun shone on the field it was brilliant yellow and outlined by deep green fields. The overcast kind of softens it, too bad.

Moms birthday cake, doesn't it look yummy? Daddy and the kids picked it out while we were shopping and surprised me.

We spent a day a the Discovery Science Works museum and watched a show at the planetarium.

The museum had this clear blue liquid on display and Maeby just grabbed it and drank it, we tried to stop her but it was too late, then she shrunk down to the size of a doll. She eats a lot less now.

Spencer wasn't going to let her have all the fun. Guess we will have to hit eBay for some deals on Barbie and Ken clothes.

What's behind the couch? The kids liked this display. But who the hell would think of putting something like this up in a museum?

Oh yes, Will was almost gushing tears of joy and desire when he saw this Voltron toy...too bad, you're a big boy and you cant have it, its for display only. Funny thing is, Will just bought the first season of Voltron on his iPod to watch with the Kids. They all love it.

"You wanna peice'a me?" Maeby growls at the Sith Lord. She was not scared at all, it was awesome. She thought he was cool and wanted to kung fu him.

I totally wish I could make this into a button to wear on my shirt! Just have to think of a good caption to accompany it.

Don't look at me! This is private! And I'm not done yet. Errrrgh.

The kids turned around and saw daddy in there and had no idea what it was at first, he just started laughing like a mad scientist and they just about freaked out as they looked at him trying to figure out what the heck that guy was doing in the wall.
