On the way to Bruny Island

We woke up in Hobart and packed up our stuff and began our trip down to Bruny Island.  We had to take a ferry across the water to get there, it was a huge boat that held tons of cars, but the top deck was empty so we just went exploring on the top deck and had a great view of the trip.

It was a bit windy out there on the water, Maeby didn't like that too much.

On the mainland side of the island there were massive sand bars with only a foot or two of water.

We got to our holiday house we were so excited with the view, it looked right out over the Southern Ocean at Adventure Bay. Everything was so green and beautiful.

Notice the wood burning stove...turns out that's the heater for the whole house, and it gets cold on Bruny, especially when the storms roll in...which they did.  It was a bit rustic, but so fun.

The view from across the road just in front of the house.

Going for a small hike in the woods near the beach

Spencer, in his stony stare, captivated by the waves as usual.

Exploring the rocks at Adventure Bay, finding lots of marine life.

Will showing the kids a crab in a shell.
