Zoodoo Wildlife Park in Richmond Tasmania

Today we spent almost the whole day at Zoodoo.  This was probably the best Zoo/Wildlife park we have ever been too.  We had so much fun and were entertained the whole time, both kids and adults.  Highly recommended if you are ever in southern Tassie. We got to see feeding time for the tasmanian devils.

This one was quite eager to get some grub.

The tigers were a bit boring, just lounging around in the warmth of the sun...can't say I would be doing anything different if I were in their position.

The white lions were another story, they were quite entertaining.

We even got to see the zoo keeper risk his life and go inside to play with them like they were just some house cats, only the little ball on a string was like a flattened basketball on a rope, but they loved it all the same. The lions were getting too big and rough and actually drew blood. He told us that he was going to have to stop going in there because they had gotten too big.

  

We got to take turns hand feeding the lions through a little protective cage.  You can bet I was as nervous as if there was not cage.  Those cute little kitty cats are not so cute up close, they have big teeth, large claws and gigantic mouths.

We took a safari style ride through the park and got to hand feed some crazy, over sized birds.  Ostriches and emus.

That is one creepy looking stare.

We got to hand feed llamas and camels.

And we got to pet them too.

After the safari, we got to feed some chickens.

Uhm, kids....?!  Did you see the sign?

C/mere you little bugger!

The best part of all was the open fields of kangaroos, deer, and wallabies. Again we got to hand feed them and many of them allowed us to pet them.  The kids just loved it.

And finally, we got to see our white wallabies, up close and personal

Even Dad got in on the action.

Liam was chasing these big kangaroos, but only after they chased him first.  It was really funny.

Even the bathrooms were fun!

When the kids had their fill of animals, we went into a play area where Will and I relaxed  out of the heat and watched the kids bounce around.

Melanie and the peacock were dressed in similar colors.

The wombats were out and climbing around too, usually they are asleep.  So cool.

And yes, I fed the little wallabies and joeys too, how could I not.  Look how cute!
